Japan summit with China and South Korea, Strengthening Nuclear Cooperation

(ASCA -AFP) - Osaha, 19 March - Strengthen cooperation in nuclear safety and disaster preparedness'. They established the foreign ministers of Japan , China and South Korea, in a meeting that 'held today, a week after the devastating earthquake and tsunami that has swept Japan after the nuclear crisis to the Central Fukushima. The new Japanese Foreign Minister, Takeaki Matsumoto, briefed his counterparts from China and South Korea, Yang Jiechi and Kim Sung-Hwan, on how Tokyo is reacting to the disaster that has left 18,000 dead and missing victims. The ministers also expressed concern about the uranium enrichment program in North Korea and have laid the groundwork for a summit to be held 'in Japan, probably in late May, as reported by Kyodo News. China, earlier this week, called on Japan to issue timely and accurate''information''on the current crisis in the first nuclear power plant in Fukushima, where technicians are struggling to avoid a disastrous release of radiation. In view of talks more 'spacious, Matsumoto and Kim Yang is thanked for the rescue teams sent from South Korea and China.
